Selva Rasalingam Kinnersly-Taylor was born in London, England and graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He played Jesus on BBC Television in 'The Story of Jesus' and appeared in many British TV series including 'Doctor Who', 'Spooks' (aka 'MI5'), and the last ever episode of 'Hustle'. On the London stage he has played various real-life characters such as the assassinated Sri Lankan journalist Lasantha Wickrematunge in 'On the Record', President Nasser in 'Eden's Empire', Moazzam Begg in 'Guantanamo: Honor Bound to Defend Freedom' in the West End and Mohammed Hammoudan in Tricycle Theatre's 'The Riots'. He also toured with the Royal Shakespeare Company as Shiva in 'Midnight's Children' which played at the Apollo Theater in New York.
