Robert de Hoog个人资料

Robert de Hoog was born in Leiderdorp (near Leiden), The Netherlands on November 18th, 1988. He was raised in Alphen aan den Rijn and now lives in Amsterdam.

For his performance in Skin (2008/II), about a Jewish boy that turns skinhead, Robert was nominated the International Emmy Award for Best Actor and won the Dutch equivalent of the Oscars, the Golden Calf for Best Actor. In that same year he was accepted by the Amsterdam drama academy.

Robert and Skin (2008/II) director Hanro Smitsman joined forces again for the Dutch thriller Schemer (2010) (aka Dusk).

In 2011 Robert joins the cast of Steven Spielberg War Horse (2011) and stars in the Dutch box office hit Nova Zembla (2011), in which he plays the male lead next to Victoria's Secret model Doutzen Kroes.

Robert will make his international debut in a leading role in Love Eternal (2013), by award winning director Brendan Muldowney, which has been adapted from the Japanese novel Loving The Dead by prolific horror author Kei Oishi (The Grudge (2004)).
