Growing up in Thousand Oaks, California, Millicent studied performing arts. Her schooling in theater, music, dance, equestrian sports and martial arts has been an asset. Since 1985, Millicent has performed as a character actress and dancer working along side Gary Shandling, Robert DeNiro, Jack Nicolson, Don Rickels, and Dick Smother's. She has had the honor of being directed by Martin Scorsese and Sean Penn.
From 1995-2000 Millicent head-lined singing solid standards from the Gershwin Brothers, Cole Porter era at local Los Angeles hot spots from "Frankie's on Melrose", "Melrose Place", to "Overstreet" with her pianist, the last Walter Wissman. She also performed "Disco Retro" at Goldfinger's in Hollywood with her disco, band under the musical direction of composer/arranger David Powell.
Since 1993 Millicent has been a published poet, where her poetic works have been published in the ground breaking and popular literary journal, The Saturday Afternoon.(SATAF)
Millicent combined her love of children and life experience with horses, with her entertainment and business skills and in 2002,"Chinese Year of the Horse, she had rescued an amazing dancing Mexican Circus Horse named "Diablo." She co-founded a local 501C3 non-profit horse rescue charity working with abused horses and children in need. The H.D.H.C.,Inc.(Hollywood Dolls Horse Club,Inc)worked directly with Los Angeles' foster youth(S.C.F.F.A.A.)doing Horse Interaction Mental Health Therapy for our counties foster youth. For nearly a decade, the H.D.H.C. hosted "Saddle Up" for St. Jude, the world leader in pediatric cancer research, raising 10's of thousands of dollars annually for this cause.
Millicent's philosophy evolved through a combination of good hard work and her entertainment background."If you must for 'publicity purposes' put beautiful, successful, smart and socially conscience equestrian women & men center stage on the horses they own or have rescued to raise public support, than so be it." The Hollywood Dolls & Wranglers also received countless support from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for many years, being put front and center on the Red Carpet, performing annually in the world famous Hollywood Christmas parade, riding the horses they had rescued & rehabed. Sadly by the end of 2010 after the world wide economy continued to crash, the H.D.H.C,Inc. shut down operations due to the lack of private and corporate donations.
Today Millicent is currently acting/writing/producing multiple projects for Film & TV & Cable. She has just finished her first Romance Novel "10,000 Miles", with project editor Nicole Auckerman. Her autobiography "Surviving Murder" is slated for publishing in Spring of 2014.
