Leesa, the daughter of an artist and a college professor, grew up in Austin, Texas. She studied broadcast journalism at Texas Tech and acting at the famed Stella Adler Studio in Los Angeles, CA . Leesa continued working as an actress for several years before moving to New York with her cat Moo in 2006. Her most current role is in Travis Campbell's female driven horror movie called Slaughter Daughter where she plays an eccentric mother who helps drive her daughter (Nicola Fiore) over the edge. Slaughter Daughter is set to premiere in October 2012. She has a vast cult following for her roles in Troma Entertainment's Class of Nuke' Em High Parts 2 and 3 and is well known in the horror industry as a scream queen. Leesa has also had memorable roles in many other independent film and television projects including New Line's Book of Love, Lionsgate's The Bros. and TV's Conviction. She is currently wrapping up post production on a documentary about Los Angeles called LaLa Land alongside director Georgiana Nestor which will be in the festival circuit in the very near future. Leesa also produces and acts in Two City Girls variety show along side Troma actress Lisa Gaye. Leesa has been actively involved as an animal advocate for over 20 years and has thrown fund raising galas in 2010, 2011 and 2012 for Last Chance for Animals in New York City. She has an informational website animalashram.com and is planning to build a physical Animal Ashram 501 non-profit in New York to open in 2013. The center will combine yoga, meditation, Eastern healing techniques, spiritual workshops, metaphysical books and films with an actual animal rescue.
