John Mese was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received his M.F.A in acting from LSU under the tutelage of John Dennis who started the MFA program that same year. John then moved to Los Angeles and has lived there or in New York as a working actor ever since. Recently John and his wife Dawn Kelsey launched their children's book company, "Flippy and Friends" nationwide. They have 4 titles to date: "Flippy and Toadpole," "On The Flippy Side," "Through Flippy's Eyes," and "Flippy Goes on a Road Trippy" The books are available at Barnes&Nobles, Borders and many other book stores all over the United States. John received "The Young Alumnus of the Year Award" from LSU in 2000. John has since gone on to write/produce/direct several short films including "Perfect Day" (2007) which was screened at the New Orleans Film Festival.
